Product: Other debt

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed

Consumer Consent Provided to Share Complaint: Consent provided

Consumer Complaint: IC Systems contacted me, claiming I owed a debt to XXXX. I submitted a written request for a copy of the original debtor ‘s agreement, and stated that a bill generated by a purported creditor alone would not suffice as proof of a debt incurred. That any entity can generate a bill, and the creditor MUST produce evidence of agreement to enter into a creditor/debtor relationship in order to validate the claim of a debt owed. Despite my request, IC Systems simply and solely provided a copy of a bill from XXXX dated XX/XX/17. The bill indicates a ” Previous balance ” of {$23.00}, with {$0.00} payment received, and ” New Charges ” of {$20.00}. No payment was received because no agreement between myself and XXXX ( or XXXX ) exists. In short, I did not sign up for their service, I did not agree to be indebted for their service and I do not agree to pay for their unsolicited service.
