Consumer Complaint: After multiple attempts to receive validation of debt from Online Info Services via a utility collection, I called and spoke to a rep named XXXX who hung up on me because she was caught giving false statements regarding validating my identity to access my account. I called back to speak to a supervisor but the consumer collection department screened my calls and did not answer. I called back to back and unfortunately I had to call from another number for someone to answer to assist with my account. XXXX from the consumer collection dept. finally answers the phone so I asked to speak with a supervisor. The ” assistant ” manager XXXX told me a letter was sent to an old address that I do not reside anymore so I provided her with an updated address. After providing an updated address XXXX stated the company will not send anything they have on file that states I owe this alleged debt. I asked to speak to her supervisor XXXX and I was sent to his voicemail. This is unacceptable and unlawful for a collection agency to consistently withhold information from the consumer, as the consumer is privy to information that being reported about them.
