Consumer Complaint: Heartland XXXX proctors my student loan from the University of XXXX. They are supposed to send me quarterly statements for me to return payment via check. They frequently fail to send out statements ( 3 times in past year ) and then require me to submit payment through their website and pay a convenience fee, or pay a late fee to pay by check. I have called monthly to discuss with the company, and I believe that Heartlands XXXX is deliberately obstructing my ability to pay via check in order to force me into an alternative payment method that they charge additional fees for.
