Consumer Complaint: I received a call from an unknown number stating that a certified letter was going to be delivered to me on XX/XX/XXXX between XXXX and XXXX XXXX. I was instructed to call XXXX and refer a reference number to prevent any further action. I called the number and was told that Wells Fargo, previously known as XXXX XXXX is filing a law suit against me for a debt that I owe on a checking account. My checking account was closed with that bank 15 years ago. I attempted to call the bank but without the account number, I did not get anywhere.
