Consumer Complaint: I applied for a loan recently with a mortgage company. The LO communicated that I had a collection from XXXX XXXX, a Collection Co. representing XXXX XXXX. It seems the default/loan was made at a time when I was XXXX and I am sure I have never used their services nor have I ever contracted with them. I have made 3 calls to them, each time giving them the account number listed on my credit report and they keep asking me for my SSN, because for some reason they ” can’t find me ” in their system, giving them my name and the account number THEY are reporting to XXXX XXXX. This debt is simply not mine.
