Consumer Complaint: I was under the assumption that my student loans were paid off. I have contacted the US dept of education ( which have been very helpful ). Because they service my loan now. Which should be at a XXXX balance. The problem I am having is United States Aide funds will not send me a transaction history now. I am disputing my balance that they sent the US dept of education that I supposedly still owe. I have recorded phone calls of representatives hanging up on me and supervisors avoiding my calls. I have two voicemails currently waiting to be answered. On a second note I tried to rehibilatate my loan early in the loans life. I made the required payments and faxed them the contract they sent me only to be told I had to go through the rehibilitation program again. I told them I would not be dealing with them and they can take it out of my taxes. Keep in mind this was as far back as XX/XX/2008. Now I am running into the same runaround as back then. They refuse to give me any information on getting a transaction history from them.
They keep forwarding me to the Us dept of education since they are now my ( should be paid off ) loans servicer. USAfunds is a joke with customer service and am also sure they are/or have violated many federal collection laws during the terms of my loans with them. My loans should be paid off and I can’t get them to send me any info concerning my account. Please help me!!!
