Consumer Complaint Submission

Date Received: 2018-10-24

Product: Medical debt

Issue: Written notification about debt

Consumer Consent Provided to Share Complaint: Consent provided

Consumer Complaint: I disputed a collection with XXXX several times in the past few years regarding Amcol Systems that they submitted to the credit agencies recorded on XX/XX/XXXX without my knowledge and without any validation of debt. The details state the original creditor as XXXX and the amount is for {$650.00}. I contacted XXXX and they do not have a record of this under my name. I do not recall going to XXXX. I had a different insurance thru my employer as well as HSA and any medical bills would have been paid with the combination of both. This is too old to investigate or to submit to insurance or HSA. I also asked them due to this automatically falling off my credit report next XX/XX/XXXX, if they would kindly remove, as I have never received any communication from this them over the past years. Furthermore, this credit agency is not licensed in the State of Michigan to perform collections in this state, so I believe they are illegally trying to collect a debt that not only is invalid, but they are not entitled to do so according to the Michigan State Attorney general office, which they have requested I file a complaint pending the results of your findings. I have been checking my credit reports and this is still appearing, therefore they are ignoring my request for removal and never offered any type of validation. I reached out to them also via email this week, I have proof of delivery and again received no response, not even an email reply to say they would look into this matter. If this was on one of their own credit reports, they would react in a timelier matter.
