Consumer Complaint: I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX NV, and they promised to be able to have a job for me by when I graduated. It’s now been over 10 years and XXXX XXXX XXXX is now closed. I have been there multiple times even after graduation up to 2 months before the school closing down. I still work as a security guard and navient is threatening myself and my mother to pay a ridiculously amount of money. My mother is on social security and I make very little money to support my family. I explained to them all my bills also letting them know I have child support being taken out of my check, and naviant stated to me, ” that is not my problem, you should not have gone to school if you can’t afford it. They should stop having poor people go to school ”. and they continue to threaten with ridiculous amount of money and saying if I don’t pay they will ruin my life/credit and my mother ‘s. I am afraid to answer my phone Everytime it rings. My wife and I are talking about divorce due to not being able to repay this. I do not know what I can do and I feel I was defrauded by not only XXXX XXXX XXXX but also by naviant.
