Consumer Complaint: Portfolio account # XXXX. I have contacted Portfolio recovery associates several times attempting to figure out why they list a collection debt of a credit card not even showing on my report?

I have mailed twice ( XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ) asking who this debt belongs to as I have no XXXX XXXX on any bureau and do not know who portfolio recovery associates are.

I have also disputed this with all 3 credit bureaus. I have asked to see original signed documents of the debt I owe PRA and a contract or something with my identity. The name they even have on their letterhead and billing is incorrect. I have yet to receive anything other than a statement from XXXX? I need to know who and what is going on. A statement ( s ) with not even my name proves nothing to me.

I never did business with this company. I do not owe them any money as I never signed for a credit card, have business, or a contract with them.

They are refusing to remove this account from all three credit reporting bureaus. I am appalled that anyone can claim to be you and report repeatedly information that isn’t even correct.
