Consumer Complaint: I have tried on numerous occasions to lower my monthly payment due to a decrease in my families income ( my wife and I just had a child and therefore she is not currently working ). Navient was not able to reduce my monthly payments or even put my loans on temporary forbearance. I am either forced to continue to pay this amount we can not afford or default on payments and have my credit affected.
