Consumer Complaint: Today XX/XX/2018, I logged into my Navient student loan account to make my monthly payment ( it was 2 days past due ). This payment was to be in the amount of {$68.00}. I made this payment and immediately noticed that the amount stated for next months payment is {$190.00}. I did not receive any notice, in any form of this change in payment amount. I phoned Navient and the representative told me they sent me an email notice on XX/XX/XXXX regarding the change. A thorough investigation of my inbox, trash and spam folders for that date yielded no such email.
The company did requalify me for graduated repayment ( although at a slightly higher rate than I was previously paying ), but accepted no responsibility in my not receiving notice of the change in repayment terms. This is not the first issue I have had with Navient and I wish their shady practices to be taken seriously.
