Consumer Complaint: I have sent notices by Consumer Federal Protection Bureau complaints with out any closure on two accounts that Portfolio Recovery Services refuse to provide documentation for. Portfolio Recovery Services has been ignoring my request for proper debt validation.
I initially filed a complaint XX/XX/2018 ( CFPB # XXXX ) requesting debt validation and accounting of the accounts. They did not provide either within the 30 day window. They ignored me and sent a generic letter. I also disputed this with the 3 credit Bureaus and Portfolio continues to not provide proof They are using illegal practices and policies of using mailing addresses and names on validation letters. I filled a compliant XX/XX/2018 ( CFPB # XXXX ) requesting validating and full accounting and on my accounts.
They responded with a letter addressed to someone who is not me. I do not know who XXXX XXXX is. This is another example of them showing they do not have documentation for this debt.
I also mailed a letter of dispute to them directly in XX/XX/2018 through the Postal Mail.
