I was contacted via mail by Americor in September of 2018 and was sold over about a weeks time on how they could get rid of my debt fast.
When I asked what their fee was I wasn’t initially given a specific percentage that I can recall.
Over about 5 months I noticed that my debt was not being properly handled and so I canceled.
Upon cancellation, I was told by Americor management on a recorded line that I would get about $2100.00 back on a refund.
I later speak with (RAM) their 3rd party provider and was told that my refund was about $300.
I was told by 1 representative their fee was 20% and by another 25%. One week after I canceled this service I was told that I had to pay a cancellation fee by one rep at RAM and I was told it was a service fee by another 2 representatives at Americor.
They charged me $1750 to send out 2 $250 payments to my creditors in 6 months. I have been scammed and all I am trying to get is the refund that is entitled to me.
Consumer Action Taken:
I have contacted both Americor and RAM to try to get the refund that I am entitled to.
