Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/18, I received a summons from the county sheriff regarding a debt that is over 10 years old which has not appeared on my credit report to have a judgement filed against me. The company is Crown Asset Management and I have never received any notification from them regarding any debts owed until today. When I attempted to contact them several times I was unable to find someone who could give me any information and was threatened with a garnishment which the summons also states. They are being represented by XXXX XXXX XXXX law firm out of XXXX Ga according to the document and are trying to collect on a debt which is outside it stature of limitations as the debt is over 10 years old and i dont recall owing this. They have not provided any information such as the original contract with the original creditor or the account number for me to research. The company refuses to validate the debt and/or follow the law regarding the statute of limitations
