Consumer Complaint: I filed a bankruptcy and One Main Financial offered a re-affirmation on the debt, lowering the amount and interest rate, this enabled me to request and attain a Bankruptcy dismissal this past month.
The re-affirmation new payment was to start today XX/XX/18 and when I called to make the first of 48 payments for the car loan, they then told me this was no longer a valid offer because I dismissed the Bankruptcy, I said as you know I dismissed it because you gave me an affordable re-affirmation as we discussed. They ignored me and their earlier assertions.
The loan was XXXX dropped to XXXX, the interest rate from 19 % to 6 % I feel this is bad faith lending practices by One Main Financial.
