How Much Debt Do I Have? – Matt

“Dear Steve,

I’m looking to find out how much debt that I have to clean up my credit, I have outstanding medical records and missed payments and several things sent to collections

How do i find out how much debt that I have and how do i begin to clear up my debt?

Dear Matt,

Not a problem. This is easy. What I suggest you do is get a copy of your consolidated credit report. The link will take you to the same consolidated credit report I use for myself. The consolidated credit report will show you all three credit bureaus on one credit report and debt reported against you. The credit report you will download is easily read, color coded, and contains all the information you need.

But remember that a credit report will contain only those items that are reported to the individual credit bureaus. Small creditors may not report to the bureaus. But these small debts really are not the ones I assume you are most worried about.

Please update me on your progress by posting updates here in the comments section of your question. I’m very interested in how this works out for you.
