An ex-employee that left a debt shop was enrolling clients into debt management program with Debt Wave in San Diego that uses an attorney to collect fees upfront. Debt Wave was using Johnson Law Group out of Florida, but ever since the heat came from Clint Johnson, Debt Wave than started using Azam Law firm which they also had issues so after that they started using Nulo Processing owned by Anthony Murigo who also owns Debt Wave and Costal Credit Solutions and now Nulo has stop operating so Debt Wave is using this new lawfirm in Las Vegas – Consumer Debt Legal Center to collect the first consumers payment upfront. The way it was explained that the fees was used as a retainer, so whatever the first payment the consumer would make ranging from $200 to $4000, they would hold that as a retainer and pay 80% or 90% of that first payment back to the marketing company. I know you have written plenty of articles with the same linkage from JLG down to Debt Wave so just a heads up on what I found out about who they are using now to bypass state and collect these fees. From my observation and hearing things around here in Orange County, seems like there’s a circle of the same group just going back and forth, from ESS – Tom Rolands, Tim McCallan of Americorp, Anthony Murigo they work in a very tight niche. These folks all they do is harm consumers and change entity or lawfirms to continue their deceptive marketing while other firms are adjusting and abiding the law. I hope in your research you find more dirty deeds on these folks and put a stop to them.
