BS Biden Tax Relief Program Calls – Hang Up!

If you get a call that sounds similar to the message below. It is a scam. Hang up.

“Hello, this is Mary Fletcher, state number agent, FF694. And this is a notification call from the department of financial relief services. And the purpose of this call is to inform all us citizens in our state lists that have tax debt about the new zero tax owed tax debt relief program that was recently put into effect by the Biden administration. And it’s open for enrolled. The new zero tax owed relief program will allow you to significantly reduce or eliminate altogether your tax debt as it is now considered temporarily non-collectible. However, you must elect to enroll into the program as it is only open for a very limited time.”

There is no such program.

  1. I got a voicemail from something similar. Except it was referred to as a “Tax Debt Compromise Program”. I did however look it up and yes there is actually something called “Offer in Compromise” that is on the IRS website. Not disagreeing that there was an intent to scam or mislead based off this or other phone calls. Just thought I’d throw that out there if it hadn’t been mentioned yet for anybody interested. However I wouldn’t necessarily say trust the random cold call for your info. It probably be best to contact the IRS or a local office or tax preparer directly before agreeing to have it done through wherever the calls actually originate from. Usually the IRS mails information to people or trust them to look it up on their page or call and ask. They, from my understanding, do not call people or text or email.

    • Look I’m up to nearly 20 a day. Look up the fo not call registry and put your number on it. It takes a year but they put you on that blocked list or whatever. They do however call you to inform you a robocall super short and to the point. I should have just kept my old number because seriously it worked and was well worth the wait considering I went from 20 or more a day to none. I was shocked at how little actual people contacted me haha.

  2. I get this call from a different spoofed number EVERY day. It’s driving me crazy. The cell carriers have the ability to block these calls they need to STEP up.

  4. Got state agent Mary Fletcher’s robocall voicemail tonight. She wants to relieve me of the state taxes I owe. I live in Texas and we have no state income tax! Sounds very official for a scam. Sincerely hope people don’t fall for this!

  5. Interestingly, I got a similar robocall about the “new Biden student loan relief program” from “the virtual assistant to Mary Fletcher”. Sounds like they’re running more than one scam.
