I Can’t Believe Alamo Bill Pay Really Said Their Debt Settlement Program Prevents the Client From Getting Sued by Creditors

This television news story catches Alamo Bill Pay and N2C Mortgage and Credit Counseling making so pretty outlandish claims about what they can do to help consumers in trouble.

I was surprised to watch Blake Heggie of Alamo Bill Pay actually say that their debt settlement program would eliminate debt for 55% of debt, including fees, and prevent the consumer from being sued.

  2. What exactly makes Steve Rhode an accredited voice on any of the subjects on this website? There is no Steve Rhode registered with the state of Texas. There is no information on this website listing any legal qualifications at all what so ever.
Steve Rhode appears to be nothing more then an individual seeking to break state and federal laws by dispensing Financial Advice with out the Legal Right to do so.
I am left to wonder if Steve Rhode is an actual person or a person made up for Promotional Purposes for this wildly Inaccurate Website.
In closing- Steve Rhode, please let the public know who you really are and why anyone should lend you or this website any credence.

      • “Steve”,
Ok, read your “Bio”. Where do you list the Proof of Legal Right to dispense Financial Advise? Is Getoutofdebt.org a “Company”? If so why can I not find it regeistered anywhere?
Your “About Me” is 80% personal interests and 20% past business experiences. If true then they are great! But, the question is: “How are you legally dispensing Financial Advice to the general public with out giving the Proof your legally entitled to do so?”
This website would appear to be the work of an individual who copies postings from the internet and then narrates them to suit his purposes.
Am I wrong? Also, why do you have all the “Debt Settlement” Google ads if they are scams?

        • Never mind.. I read your “site terms” and understand that you are projecting that: “Steve Rhode is just acting on his own and any one who does not agree should leave.”
Understood. Keep on misleading people and being part of the problem.

        • Oh Johnny,

Most of that is covered in the site terms.

Anyone can offer financial advice about credit and debt issues. I don’t provide legal advice and direct people to an attorney licensed in their state for that and I don’t provide investment advice. Boring stuff. What specific proof are you asserting needs to be obtained to offer credit and debt advice?

I’m not sure what ads you see, they change for each viewer based on page content, location and whatever other mojo Google uses to display ads.

So what is your real name?

          Steve

  3. Just thought you should know that Charles Hernandez never charged my family or I. He just answered some question and gave us his opinoion. My family and I finally have our home and are much better off. I know other people he helped and no one has ever complained. It’s sad he decided to stop helping people. He wasn’t even charging.

  4. Just about every one in San Antonio knows about this story. It has been proven to be a product of Editing by the news channel. Alamo Bill Pay has a perfect record with the Better Business Bureau.
I am a client of Alamo Bill Pay. And I do know Blake Heggie.
Alamo Bill Pay does not charge any money for their services. No upfront fees at all.
I checked Alamo Bill Pay out before I went to them for help about a year ago.
Alamo Bill Pay is also the “Local Experts” for KSAT 12. A Local TV station.(abc)
I like this website for the information your giving to people but you should not perpetuate Myths. This particular story is an example of Media perverting a story to make a headline.
