You know, being sued is a matter of public record as well. A bankruptcy can instantly stop this and any future lawsuit or you can have a string of lawsuits and potentially a wage garnishment or two. Being represented by a debt settlement company or an attorney does not prevent you from being sued. Only bankruptcy prevents that.
