Ask The Get Out of Debt Experts Divorce Military

In the Military, Out of the Country, Divorced and Deep in Debt. – Jamal

“Dear Steve,

I’m in the military serving overseas and have served 13 years. I recently divorced less than a year ago and I have a mountain of bills and debt. I tried to manage my money wisely but I’m in over my head. Please help!

How can I get a debt consolidation loan to when my credit isnt in good standing?

Jamal”

Dear Jamal,

You can’t. With a low credit score you are just going to be scam bait. People will make promises for a bad credit loan but will just make you pay money for it upfront and then not give you the loan.

You are better off at this point to talk to the local JAG office for advice on bankruptcy to clear the decks of that debt.

Please update me on your progress by posting updates here in the comments section of your question. I’m very interested in how this works out for you.

Sincerly,
Steve

You are not alone. I'm here to help. There is no need to suffer in silence. We can get through this. Tomorrow can be better than today. Don't give up.
