Warning: if you watch this video you may not be able to get it out of your head.
The latest viral video called Bed Intruder has invaded my home, the web, and has become a Billboard top tune, at number 89 this week. At last count over 30,000 people purchased the song from iTunes and it is said to be selling about 7,000 copies a day.
The song is based on a news broadcast from Huntsville, Alabama where an alleged rapist climbed into a window and attempted to attack a woman sleeping. Her brother came to her rescue and the attacker escaped.
What started as a terrible and tragic event has grown into an unexpected windfall for the victims family. The creators of the video have split the proceeds of the song 50-50 with the family and the song has earned enough money now for the family to move out of the Lincoln Park projects.
As of last check there were over 2,300 covers of this song on YouTube and it seems to just be picking up steam.
