I’m Looking for a Consumer Debt Lawyer in Montana. – Judy

I am have an impossible time in locating a lawyer in montana who will represent me in a judgment the johnson Rodenburg and Lauinger firm has against me. iI was under contract with Christian Crossroads for over a year when the above firm started moving against me. I am almost hopeless. I already know about John Heenan who successfully sued the firm and Charles Dendy twice, but he is too busy to refer or reply. How can I get legal counsel. I can not go the Bankruptcy route, don’t ask, so am willing to settle because that is the only conclusion I can come to. Chasevia Mann Bakken is also back in the picture to settle. They were the ones who forced me into the debt consolidation. This has been a nightmare. I have done some things, tried to negtociate, called a mediation Clinic at U of montana, but I always get blocked when progress starts.

Referral for a lawyer in montana or who can practice here who is tough enough to handle a junk debt buyer. My time is running out.

    Judy,

From what you wrote, the judgement is already in place. What specifically are you looking for an attorney to accomplish? There are often issues found with debt buyers running rough shot. There are also ways to successfully defend against lawsuits brought by debt buyers. Connecting with a consumer attorney to explore your options with potential issues and defenses should be done prior to judgement.

If you are simply looking to put together a settlement or payment plan that can work with your available funds/budget, you do not necessarily need an attorney. Where is Christian Crossroads in any of this? I assume you paid them to settle debt for you?

If you were to reply with additional information, please include the amount of the judgement, the original creditor, the debt buyer/collector involved, the amount of money you have available to fund a settlement were one reached, the amount of money in your monthly budget available to commit to a payment plan on the judgement.

Also; Are you working? Has there been an attempt to garnish? Have any bank accounts been levied? Are you sending money monthly to Christian Crossroads?

    Best – Michael
