Like Marie from AZ, I signed on with The Debt Answer. I am in CA. That was over a year ago. Since then, I settled one account myself and they settled two. I was thinking that this was great…then it all started coming unraveled. I have two remaining creditors. One of them has been ignored. The other has served me, asked for a second appearance, liened my house and now is attempting to garnish my wages. This totally could have been avoided if I ever received an email back or phone call. I would have went to the stinking court appt. Them taking care of it, doesn’t mean a darn thing.
Do I have any legal action against The Debt Answer, Noteworld, Simon and B?

Today I filed both an FCC complaint and a BBB complaint against TheDebtAnswer.com. I really wish I had done my homework first and realized the company was a shame, scam, FRAUD. Simon and Bocksch, LLoyd Ward and TDA are in a conspiracy to front load fees to amounts of as much as 80-85% of their fees being paid well before any debts are settled so they have no desire or burning need to work for their “customers” aka SUCKERS, since they have their money up front. They are so overloaded with clients that they just keep ripping off for that initial 85% that they feel they are bullet proof and flush with money and have lawyers who can work for them while their clients can’t afford their debt much less a lawyer to fight them.
If you know of any recourse I may have to rocoup any of their fees please let me know. Right now I fully believe they will ignore the BBB just like they ignore all of their customers. Their customer support e-mail goes to Simon and Bocksch who then say “I don’t know why your e-mail comes here, we can’t act on their behalf to address your complaint or discuss a refund, you will have to speak to TDA” – well – TDA never answers so now what?
I wish I would have found your articles about them a lot sooner – I am spreading the word!!!!
Thanks,
Vince

You would have to talk to a lawyer that is licensed in your state to find out what legal action you could take based on your situation. However, if you wanted to try to get out of the program and get a refund, this process might be helpful.
