Mortgage Payments While I Wait for House to Sell. – Susan

Can’t Make Mortgage Payment

I’m a divorced 50 year old woman with a son in middle school. I am currently attending college and trying to get my life back in order. My X and I still own our home together. This was fine until he decided that he didn’t want to pay his full amount of maintenance and had his wages garnished. Now I can’t make the mortgage payment and he will not help with the payments. I have missed one payment and am about to miss another.

What are my options. What can I do about the mortgage payments while I’m waiting for the house to sell?

Susan
