DIY Debt Help: An Introduction to Help and Assistance Available

I want to give people more tools to getting out of debt so welcome to the DIY section of the site.

There is a lot people can do on their own to get out of debt.

There are two choices people have when looking to deal with money troubles. The first step can be to just hunt around for a debt professional you trust and pay them to provide you with some assistance. Or you may want to learn more about how to get out of debt yourself by applying the services and solutions available here on GetOutOfDebt.org.

I’ve divided the DIY solutions into four buckets.

  1. Debt Coach Damon DayDamon Day is an experienced debt coach that specializes in steering people the right way for the most appropriate way out of debt. I’ve known Damon for some time now and we talk often. I am very confident he has the best interest of the consumers at heart and always strives to provide the most appropriate advice and guidance.

If you are unsure of what is the best way for you to get out of the financial hole you are in visit Damon in the forum section here and he will be happy to give you some help and guidance in the forums for free. You can ask Damon your questions about what might be the right solution for your situation by visiting his section of the forum here.

  2. DIY DMP or DIY Credit Counseling – If you would like to put together your own DIY Debt Management Plan then you need to know the hardship plans available and what creditors are willing to do to help you get out of debt without feeling like you need to enroll in a credit counseling program.
  3. DIY Debt Settlement – For those people that would like to attempt to settle their own debt there are resources available to teach you how to do that.

Settling your own debt requires education, motivation, and support. But it can be done.

  4. DIY Education – In this section I plan to include information and guidance to allow you to best deal with your debt situation.

Sincerly,
Steve
