On May 9, 2011 the State of Wisconsin sent a letter to Hope Financial Group of Orange Park, Florida letting them know they were no longer welcome in Wisconsin.
Apparently this is just another one of those efforts of state licensing people reaching out to debt adjustment services following a complaint and then taking action.
According to the State of Wisconsin in September, 2010 a complaint was filed against Hope Financial Group by a Wisconsin resident. The Department of Financial Institutions wrote to the company on two occasions but received no response.
So following the silent treatment by Hope Financial Group, and having given them a chance to deal with the matter the State ordered Hope Financial Group to repay the $2,123 to the consumer and give all money back to any other Wisconsin client they served.
Hope Financial Group was ordered to not conduct any further debt adjustment service in Wisconsin.
Another shining example of why you should be licensed for debt relief services in Wisconsin if you are helping Wisconsin residents.- Source
