“Dear Steve,
I’m 3 years out of school and have both private and non private loans from Sallie Mae that is about $90K. My payments are about $800 a month.
Is there any third party companies that can help me get a lower monthly payment on my student loans with Sallie Mae? I have tried applying to all different repayment options within Sallie Mae and $800 a month is still too high for me.
Stephen”
Dear Stephen,
For private student loans there is no help but to go with another lender.
For the government backed student loans there are good consolidation options. Contact the Department of Education here to find out what is available for you.
Please post your responses and follow-up messages to me on this in the comments section below.
Sincerely,
You are not alone. I'm here to help. There is no need to suffer in silence. We can get through this. Tomorrow can be better than today. Don't give up.
