Today I present to you, kind readers, another installment on the Moving Forward Radio Show with Pam Rhode and Amanda Miller!
Pam and I have been couponing since about the end of March. We have been learning the ropes and are trying to perfect our styles of couponing.
Couponing can be overwhelming but we’re trying to find a way to make it an easier and less stressful for alll of you. Which has not been an easy ride I must say!
I heard it through the grape-vine that Harris Teeter was doing Triple Coupons last week. “Teeter” is an East Coast grocery store that always doubles coupons up to $0.99 and habitually holds extra saving events like “Super Double Coupons” where they double coupons up to $1.98 and “Triple Coupons” where coupons under $0.99 are tripled.
We decided to go on a big haul to show you guys just how much we could save while stocking our stock pile. For Pam and I, our stock piles are our pantries. We don’t have extra storage or hoarding spaces for our stock piles, just what our pantry allots.
First things first, we sat down with all of our coupons. It was overwhelming for both of us since we each have our own separate couponing methods. Eventually, we had to separate and work on our coupons alone. Second, we looked for sites for basic help. We found Hot Coupon World and Coupon Teacher to be the most helpful in providing a basic list of best sale items. Third, we made our list online at HarrisTeeter.com and set aside the coupons to be used.
On the actual shopping day we got to the store early, 6:30 am to be exact, and found as customers started to pile in around 7 am there was a very competitive vibe in the store as shelves began to become bare.
Have a look and a listen below about our preparation, shopping trip and overall savings!
