Legal Helpers Debt Resolution is Charging Me Fees Even Though I Am on Low Income. – Shirley

“Dear Steve,

I am a customer of Legal Helpers. I see they charge me fees. I am on low income.

Is there a debt relief or other name of a company or person who can help me get the other accounts paid by using my local bank account and not noteworld that charges and fees. $59.50 is a large loss each month to me. The debt company charge is above that. I loss most of the money before they use it.

Shirley”

Dear Shirley,

Yes, there are other companies that can assist you for less money per month.

Legal helpers Debt Resolution also typically charges the bulk of their fees early in the program before providing assistance. They are the exception. Most other companies do not charge you till the services have actually been performed.

But most importantly I’m concerned that you are on a low income and even pursuing a debt settlement approach. It might not be the best solution for you.

I would suggest you review your situation with one of the AACC member companies and let me know how you want to proceed.

  • Steve,
Thanks for answering.  I went to the careone site. Is this the AACC that you speak of? I also would like you to clerify what you meant when you said:

What other solution is there? Legal Helpers or Stratton and Fienstein Law firm (The same place) has settled and paid 2 Citi accounts.  I have 4 accounts to go.  It has been 2 years to get 2 accounts paid.

Our experts are available to help consumers find the best debt relief solution, whether they are getting out of debt on their own, or will need the help of a debt management plan, a debt settlement plan, or filing bankruptcy.
Bankruptcy is not right for me.  I have assets.  I draw SSA disability not SSI.  I need the protection of an attorney.  It looks to me like,  a debt management plan is the only way.  Please tell me what you meant.
    Thank you,
    Shirley
