I Fell for the Safeguard Financial Scam. How Do I Get My Money Back From NoteWorld? – Barbb

“Dear Damon,

I fell for the Safeguard Financial scam, found it was a scam through Steve’s site. I called my bank to cancel the Noteworld debit withdrawals, and will receive a refund of what they had left in my acount. Am wondering what else I should do. I am willing to sacrifice the thousand or so I lost just to get out of their contract. Can they continue to collect fees some how? Please help,

thank you so much!,

Hello Barbb,

I am sorry to hear about your experience. Have you been in touch with anyone at Safeguard recently? From reports I have read it appeared that they might be going out of business.

You should be able to cancel simply by telling Noteworld not to draft any more fees and informing your bank of the same. You should also contact Safeguard if you can reach them and tell them your reasons for canceling. If you can reach them I would also ask for a refund if you feel that their service was misrepresented or that you didn’t received the level of service you expected.

As far as what you should do moving forward to resolve your debt situation, I would need to know more details about your current financial circumstances.

  • Please be aware that the Safeguard Financial referenced above is not the same Safeguard Financial that sets up Self Directed IRA & 401k plans.

  • Got my refund from Noteworld of what was left in my account. Almost half of what I paid out was still in my account.. Canceled everything successfully so far. The contract does accually say what to do to cancel, and I did that, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed, and am paying off my credit cards off myself.    Barbb
