“Dear Steve,

I am trying to get a bill paid to capital one and they have engaged Frederick J. Hanna. to collection. I am retired and don’t have a lot of money I have been paying the bill but this month I had to have a plumber out that took the payment. I have written them and called and left messages and have not got an answer from them to date. need answer or work something out . On top of this Bank Of America wants their money I will pay them six payments in the settlement. But I don’t know what their indentations are as far as making a stettlement with Capital One on my account.

What is vFrederick J. Hanna going to do. I need to know. I don’t my bank account frozen because Ihave to pay my water and electric bills.

  1. First, do not talk to them!  Write them a letter and ask them to validate the date.  Many of their accounts don’t have the proof required by the courts in order to make a case.  If they don’t have validation, they’ll leave you alone.  If they provide you with proof, then write them back, tell them that you are retired and to stop harassing you.  They won’t sue you if you’re on SS because they can’t get anything out of you and they can’t garnish that.  Don’t pay them a penny!

    Good luck to you Cynthia.
