Consumer Statement:

We have been paying almost $850/ month to Legal Helpers Debt Resolution since April 2011. They do not correspond with us when we have questions until it is convenient for them. Recently I have asked them 3 times to pay or make an offer to one of our creditors since we have enough money in the account to do so and they will not respond to my request. I see the same problems we are having as are described in the New Jersey lawsuit against them. I would like to be able to quit paying them anything and get our money back from them since they haven’t done what they said they would do.

Consumer Action Taken:

I have called and emailed requests to them without results.

Note:

The Myvesta Foundation sent a letter to the company at the address given or found and asked them to publicly respond to this complaint.

  1. This firm is the worst. I hired them to do a bankruptcy and paid my fees in installments. If I was a day late setting up a payment I got an email. The email was a form letter, always the same. I decided to cancel the bankruptcy after paying all the fees. I requested a refund, and got 400 dollars back of over 1600. The bill they sent charged me 8 hours for sending these reminder letters, and additional charges for marketing letters that sent to me telling me about their other services. They never return calls, and if you hold for a representative you are on the phone for at least 45 minutes. When I finally did reach someone to discuss my bill–Vince in accounting. He told me to file a complaint–they had every right to charge this money. I am reporting them to the disciplinary board.

  3. This person’s complaint seems to be about Legal Helpers Debt Resolution, LLC.
That is NOT Macey Bankruptcy Law, PC.   Macey Bankruptcy Law, PC is a bankruptcy law firm.   This person seems to have been involved in debt settlement with a separate company, Legal Helpers Debt Resolution LLC.
