They listed two movies of which one we would have never rented and the other we owned so we know we did not rent them and had no out standing video late payment of fee owed to Hollywood video.

Consumer Action Taken:

The letter is a scam so I have destroyed it and put it in the recycling bin.

  1. According to UFLP, I owe $28.74. They don’t say for lost movies or late fees.  I did not
have any fees due when the local branch of Hollywood Video closed.  Two of the movies
listed in their letter are of a type I never would have rented, the other is a possibility, but
again, I did not have a balance due when the local closed.  I know this because I made
it a point to check with them as soon as I was told they were closing.
