call several times a day and week. Threaten legal action while encouraging to take advantage of COVID relief plan. Never say who they are looking for, but demanding contact information
These motherfuckers are scammers i call them back 60 times a day just to fuck with them then they cuss me out ass holes they even call on Sunday !
THEY TRIED ME TODAY….FUNNY…THEY CALLED ME ON A PHONE NUMBER THAT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH THE SO CALLED DEBT THEY SAID I OWE FROM OVER 10 YEARS AGO….ASKED HOW THEY GOT MY PRIVATE PERSONAL CELL PHONE NUMBER, AND THE AGENT ASKED ME HOW I SLEPT AT NIGHT, MOTHER FUCKER!!! YEP…..FRAUDS!!!
I wanted to add on to my previous comment – Companies like this will also try to cut a deal and reduce the amount just so they can collect any amount on something you don’t owe.
They left me a message today saying I’ve been ignoring their calls (1st time I’ve recev’d a call from them). I am not behind on anything. Any debt I owed in the past has been taken care of. I used to receive calls before from other companies but all were scams. What happens is they have a list of people who were behind on payments to companies who have written off the account. Once written off then companies like this pick up that info and try to collect plus add on fees – even though it’s been written off. They scare people into paying when they don’t have to because it’s already been taken care of with the original creditor.
The person who had my phone number must have been in financial, as I have gotten phone calls from many debt collectors. Most have given up, but this DRA company has started calling me regularly.
I DID answer once to speak to the caller, but it’s just a recording.
You can tell they are unprofessional, because they never say “Mr. Jones” or any identification, just go into a vaguely threatening nonsense about “further legal action”
In any even, if they ARE looking for the person, who had my number previously, OR are looking for me…. there is ample information on the web. So, if they ARE “skip tracers” they are not very good at it, and should never be employed. You are likely to get better results, hiring a 14 year old kid, from your neighborhood who knows how to google people
Called from a San Antonio number and left a message that I needed to call them to “resolve this problem” and that they had “repeatedly called” me and I was refusing their calls. Both false.
Just some kind of scammer.
It is a scam. Personally, I DID have one single ill-advised interaction with a payday loan place about 20 years ago, and then about 7 years ago I started getting phones calls about debt collection. It took me a while to figure out what was going on since I have never been late on anything or left any loans unpaid. But then I connected the dots. Payday loan places were notorious for selling customer information, and I assume my info is on some list somewhere in circulation. So, after I “dealt with” the first called years ago (meaning after I figured out it was a scam annoyed them so much they gave up), my phone was quiet until a year or so later when the next group of people got my info and started calling. Nothing I can do at this point except screen calls, ignore & block numbers (although they typically go through many similar numbers so that doesn’t really do much good), or if I’m feeling feisty engage the caller until they get aggravated enough they hang up on me.
But, between the debt collection scams, the IRS scams, the Car Warrant Scams (my vehicle is over 20 years old at this point), the school loans scams (my school loans have been paid for a couple decades at this point), etc. it’s all extremely old and tiresome.
They call every single day from different phone numbers claiming to be offering a reduced settlement for a payday loan debt. I have never taken out a payday loan in my life. They refer me to gotodra.com which has no mailing address and is not registered with the Oregon Secretary of State. I contacted them via their chat function not giving them any personal information to ask for their mailing address and what state they are registered in and they refused to answer. Pretty sure they’re scammers.
i dont know who they are trying to call.i dont owe any money to anyone, they keep calling from different hours of the day
Must be trying to sell you something.
