Consumer Statement:

I paid over 2,000 for Legal helpers/Macey bankruptcy law several years ago and STILL have no B.K. filing. I call several times per week with no return calls. The wait times can be over 30 minutes just to speak to an assistant who says the attorney will call with no call back.

I feel they have taken the money in ADVANCE with no intent to file my case.

Consumer Action Taken:

I call every day to speak to an attorney but with no return calls I am reaching out to the media.

  1. Thank you so much for being here and posting this. We had an appointment with “Legal Helpers/Macy’s” about a month ago, and had planned on using them here in Kansas City, Missouri. We were supposed to go and see them this weekend, but I couldn’t remember the phone number and address, so I went back to their site.As I was scanning the page (trying to gather more info on Chapter 7 vs 13), I came across the “reviews” link, and the comment underneath stating “This company has chosen to NOT make their reviews available to the public.”

A red flag popped up in my head, and I immediately went to the search engine and typed in, “Is the Legal Helpers/Macy’s Law Firm” legitimate or bad?
That’s when this page and others came up, listing complaints across the United States. Needless to say, I’m wiping my forehead from that close call, and moving on to find an attorney who has an established practice here in the state.I hope your situation works out for you, and thanks to this site for its dedication of educating the consumer!!!!
