Consumer Statement:

I have been with Debt One since May 15, 2008, they received so much money a month, in total they received about $2300. They were suppose to send out a letter to my creditors that I had registered with them to let them know that they were representing me and would be working the pay off of my debt. I have received phone calls since day one and they were really bad for months and then got better, but now it is back to calling me all the time day and night. I sent several emails and left many messages and received an email in April 2010. I emailed back and left more messages because I had questions and have not gotten any where.

Consumer Action Taken:

I sent several emails and left many messages and received an email in April 2011. I emailed back and left more messages because I had questions and have not gotten any where. I read on line that they are out of business, I am not sure what my options are but I would like to get my money back that they have per the agreement, but have not done there side of the agreement. I am not sure what others are doing to get there money back, but I read online several comments about trying for months to get a hold of them and getting no where. I also read that the company was sued for thousands of dollars by the Attorney General, Sidney R. Barrett, Jr. prosecuted the case on behalf of the State of Georgia.

I would really like my money back as my creditors are now taking me to court and the fines are 3 times what they were when i turned the accounts over.

If you do get your money back, come back and leave a comment about it. I’d love to praise companies that step-up and do the right thing for people.
