The 1st United Mortgage Consultants Took My Money and Did Nothing. – Anthony

“Dear Steve,

We signed up with 1st United Mortgage Consultants to take care of our mortgage and debt. The said it was a 4 month program. We have lost about $1800, to them for the first two month and now you call thier number and you get a apartment complex in Maryland. What is the story on this company and do we have any way of getting our money back? Thak you, Harold in Tacoma, wa. What are our alternatives

Dear Harold,

I’d say you got screwed and the money is lost. For the mortgage situation you should call a free HUD Housing Counselor and discuss your options.

Regarding getting scammed you should follow this process to try to get some justice and money back.

I wish I could offer you more hope but experience has taught me that when companies have so many complaints and vanish, it is rare that anything good comes out of it.

However, if you file the complaints with the appropriate agencies I lay out in this guide then maybe the people behind the scheme will be brought to justice.

Please post your responses and follow-up messages to me on this in the comments section below.
