Debt Restructure Group and Next Generation Debt Settlement Have Vanished on Me. – James

“Dear Steve,

I have been paying money to a company Called Debt Restructure Group/Next Generation Debt Settlement Since August 2011. 20 Truman Street Suite 109 Irvine California 92620.

I come to find out that their phone number has been disconnected 18778070312 and their Internet Site is down. I have not one credit card company settle with these folks. I settled with one of them myself and have another calling me on Monday.

I closed my Meracord Account because of this. I received an email from a Tara Reilly from Meracord stating the account will be closed as of February 25, 2013 and I should receive my money back with in 24 to 48 hours after that. Well we will see about that.

Is there any more information that I need to know about this company? I found some good info on them from your site and the BBB for Southern California. I complained to the Attorney Generals Office in Sacramento. Who is the owner of this company? Eli Smart or Hassan Kassir

Maybe I am being a little PARANOID But this company on the map is located next to the Islamic Center of Irvine CA. As a former soldier I wonder about that too.

Dear James,

First off, this is not an Islamic conspiracy. This is just what has been unfortunately fairly typical of many debt relief companies. I did publish a warning and story about the debt restructuring movement in July, 2011.

Sadly, many debt relief companies have gone “poof” and the best advice I can give you at this point is to follow this guide.

You asked about Eli Smart and Hassan Kassir. Follow those links for more.

Please post your responses and follow-up messages to me on this in the comments section below.

You are not alone. I'm here to help. There is no need to suffer in silence. We can get through this. Tomorrow can be better than today. Don't give up.

  1. The CFPB is investigating Next Generation Debt Settlement (Hassan Kassir/Eli Smart) and Meracord (formerly Noteworld) shut them down. They are scam artists so do not expect any service or refund even for the illegal upfront fees they collected from you or for the fake Debt Defense Shield legal protection product you probably paid for.
