I was homeless for a long time & had a drinking problem iv gone through some programs in one now that helps with rent. im 65 & on a fixed income of 730.a mo. letters say i owe 900 to a co. down so. i know theres more cant get a debt list. an dont know how i could pay it any way (lost)
How can i get a list of my debt? & is there any help in getting out of it!

Congratulations on getting back on track.
The best way to find out who you may owe is to order a consolidated credit report. I just looked at one for someone else and they are the easiest to read an interpret, unfortunately there is a charge for that kind of report.
You can order a free copy of your credit report through AnnualCreditReport.com. You’ll then have to look over each credit report to determine who is reporting a debt you owe. Not all debts are reported to each of the three major credit bureaus so you need to look at all three reports.
Just because someone is writing you and claiming you owe a debt, it doesn’t mean you actually do. The first step would be to not admit you owe the debt but instead ask them for proof you owe the debt. This debt validation request is very important because it will require them to show evidence you owe the debt. A screen print that just says you do is not proof.
