A tipster (send in your tips here) sent in a request to have me look at a site, usadebtrelief.biz and said they felt it “seems very pre tsr to me.”

The site consists of a home page as shown below. And that certainly does bring back memories of the days before the Telemarketing Sales Rule and advice on what is appropriate advertising. I think the company would be hard pressed to provide any proof that President Obama endorsed them.

CuraDebt Advert

Now you might be saying that site is just leftover from the old days. One they forgot to clean up and put away. The only problem is that the domain was just registered on March 21, 2013.

The domain ownership is hidden so we’ll have to run with it clearly benefits CuraDebt and if this is an affiliate, CuraDebt needs to get right on it and squash this page and talk to the affiliate about what is appropriate advertising, because this isn’t it.

The advertisement gets even worse when you consider that CuraDebt is neither a non-profit organization nor part of SCORE.

The SCORE website which provides mentoring to small businesses lists the relationship with SCORE as one where CuraDebt founder Eric Pender needed help to run his business.

Over the years, Eric has consulted with other SCORE counselors in person and via email to on issues such as CuraDebt’s marketing plan and financial analysis, corporate identity and trademark protection, franchising, development of an operations manual, human resources, and publicity.

“The support of SCORE has been monumental in the development and growth of CuraDebt,” Eric says. “Consulting with SCORE continues to be an integral part of my business strategy. I can always count on Rod Means, Marty Weiss and the other counselors to be available and very helpful.” – Source

Just as an aside, CuraDebt lists their official name as CuraDebt Systems, LLC and address as:

4000 Hollywood Blvd
Suite 555-S
Hollywood, FL 33021 – Source

One problem though, the State of Florida does not list them as registered to do business in the state.

The State of Florida doesn’t show a telemarketing license for them either.
