CLS Mortgage are brokers who told me that they had a “private lender” to fund a commercial loan request. They charged me $9,500. upfront to do underwriting, legal, and whatever else needed to take place. After the fee was paid CLS Morgage went in the dark, they did not respond to emails or calls for a week, then when I did finaly get ahold of them, Jeff told me that Kenedy Funding wanted to do the deal and needed $40,000 upfront to get the deal done. DO NOT USE CLS MORTGAGE, they are nothing but brokers who ask for upfront fees and forget about you.
Consumer Action Taken:
I ask if they would refund a part of the upfront fee, Jeff said he would never return an upfront fee.

The site received the following error report from Tara Azaroff about this consumer complaint:
“The post is not a story with any factual content.
This post was brought to the attention of CLS by a Professional Broker and Client on the 15th of May. CLS can confirm the post has zero merit and is purely manufactured. The statements about CLS are Slanderous and Defamatory. CLS never entered into an agreement with a Client or Broker from California receiving $9,500.00 on or before the dates mentioned. CLS has never presented a project to Kennedy Funding in the 39 years we have been in business. There is no Jeff Ball working for CLS and the dates and timeline referenced are all simply false.
If this person has a valid complaint he should be proud and more than willing to provide his correct Name, Address, Contact Information, Dates, a fully executed copy of the agreement and proof CLS collected and received such fee. The reason a real name has not been provided is for the simple fact the accounts posted never occurred and the person/client relationship never existed
The person from “California” is simply a disgruntled mortgage broker frustrated by the fact that a loan was denied and he failed to earn a commission.
CLS Mortgage has been in business since 1974. CLS Mortgage is a Direct Lender and is currently servicing approximately 300 loans. CLS will provide references upon request, both borrower and private investor.
There were other posts which surfaced in a 3-4 day period using the exact same language. Two of the posts where made by “BrokerJames” and “James B.” which confirms the posts were made by the same individual. Please review comments carefully. They are posted online by Persons who do not reveal their name and lack specific information or proof the claim being made can be substantiated.”
