The Debt Answer – Consumer Complaint – August 5, 2013

Consumer Statement:

I have been with the Debt answer for 4 years now with a debt consolidation. It has changed payment companies twice and lawyers twice. Now my representative phone has been disconnected and the main phone numbers changed.

I am getting calls from two people wanting me to update and change direct payments to supposedly the debt owned lawyer. I only have a few more payments and don’t know if this a scam or not.

The last time in sept 2011 the debtanswer and Lloyd ward lawyer were fighting over who owned my account. I finally stayed with the debtanswer.

How do I know if this person calling now is the really the person I should be talking to.

Consumer Action Taken:

This is the third time that my account is either transferred or is a scam.

  1. I was told that abc debt moved offices and they are on LBJ highway in Dallas. But has the company actually dissolved and all the employees let go? Or will they start up somewhere else…..does anyone know anything? I know they also did car coverage and answered phones to “Universal debt”.
