Oddly, even though American Student Loan Consolidators has been added as a member, the group does not appear to have an active website. At least none I could find.
Maybe AFSLR changed their membership requirements but on the last member application I saw they had the following statement on their legal / regulator declaration:
a. Applicant has not, via a court order, judgment, administrative ruling or other legal finding, (1) violated any consumer protection law in providing any service, (2) failed to maintain a license or comply with a state licensing requirement, or (3) been the subject of any legal claim that resulted in an adjudication of guilt, liability or wrongdoing, relating to a matter of fraud, dishonesty, theft, deception, or a felony. – Source
Yet American Student Loan Consolidators does not hold a Florida telemarketing license.
Maybe American Student Loan Consolidators is just still in very early days of setting this group up.
