Kevin Trudeau, the proverbial infomercial pitchman who has hawked and sold all sorts of miracle cure books is in the early days of serving his 10 year sentence by a federal judge. His current address is in a federal prison camp in Montgomery, Alabama.
In the debt world Trudeau is best known for his 2008 book “Debt Cures “They” Don’t Want You to Know About.” The book and advice were marginally helpful to people who bought his Debt Cures book. The claims made in the infomercials for the book were fanciful and unbelievable.
In his recent sentencing Trudeau for his criminal contempt charge Trudeau told the U.S. District Judge Ronald Guzman, “I have truly had a significant reawakening,” “If I ever do an infomercial again … I promise: No embellishments, no puffery, no lies.”

The Judge didn’t buy it. “Before imposing the sentence the government sought, Guzman called Trudeau “deceitful to the very core,” saying that “he has steadfastly attempted to cheat others for his own gain” for decades and treated federal court orders “as if they were mere suggestions … or impediments to be sidestepped, outmaneuvered or just ignored.” – Source
Trudeau’s attorney said, ““A 10-year sentence might be appropriate for a defendant who destroyed lives,” Kirsch told the judge. But “Trudeau—if he swindled anyone—swindled them out of $30,” Kirsch added, referring to the price of a book.”
But Trudeau still has some bit of a following and even posted his requests for reading material to be sent to him in prison and people willingly agreed. – Source
But then again the picture below is the Facebook cover image for the convicted guy.
