Remember Garden State Consumer Credit Counseling changed their name to Novadebt? Well now they’ve decided to change it again and on October 31, 2014 the company formally known as GSCCC will now be Navicore Solutions.
According to information from the company the name change “more clearly conveys or mission and the growth of our counseling services beyond financial guidance.” – Source
Your guess is as good as mine is what they are going to be getting into since they current quiver is full of credit counseling, housing counseling, bankruptcy counseling, student loan counseling, and financial education.
I trust the name makes perfect sense for what they are about to undertake but it just sounds like they are going to become a GPS company with that new name.
Maybe a clue what the future will bring can be found in this quote on ABC13. “We are focused on diversifying our program and service offerings beyond financial counseling to new markets that include family services and health and wellness.”
So it sounds like the are copying the CareOne Brand business plan. CareOne is a sister company to Nava, which sounds a hell of a lot like Navi. Nava says they are “A revolutionary approach to integrative wellness with a focus on anti-aging, weight-loss and performance methodologies.” – Source
Now I don’t really have a clue what Navicore Solutions is going to do, the public information is conflicting. According to the public trademark application it appears Novicore Solutions is going to provide “financial advice and consultancy services; providing financial information; debt management consultation; consumer credit consultation; financial advice and consultancy services, namely, housing consultation services and bankruptcy consultation services; mortgage resolution services.”
But here is where it gets intriguing. The trademark application also lists a pseudo mark, “Navigate Core Solutions” which says it will be used for, “insurance; financial affairs; monetary affairs; real estate affairs. – Insurance; financial affairs; monetary affairs; real estate affairs.” – Source
It’s an interesting time in the credit counseling world, for sure.
