I believe I as scammed by a company called “National student loan assistance center” I’ve paid them several hundred dollars to help with my student loans and now my student loans are going into default and I was laid off so now I don’t have the money to pay them. I need help trying to obtain my money back or some kind of good advise that would lead me in the right direction.

I apply for a 2000 dollars loan with Planned payday. I received a call the next day from a lady who transferred me to a loan manager. He told me I was going to get the money and told me I would have 10months to pay. After giving him my account and routing number to deposit the money, he told me to go to a Walmart and pay $220 for insurance.
I was shocked because he didn’t say anything about paying any money to get the loan. The guy called me every day and told me I would get the money money back in addition to the loan. I signed up for overdraft with my bank because I really needed the money. I was given a prepaid card number by another guy who claimed to be an insurance officer. I was on the phone for 45 minutes with no money in my account. After that, he claimed to have transferred me to the loan dispatcher and shockingly this time, the guy told me to pay another $450.
I was shocked because I didn’t have a penny. I told them to cancel the loan so I could pay my bank back but the guy, I will not get my money back and he was very rude about it.
The best part was when I tried to call the loan manager’s number. It would give me busy tune all day and I never got to talk to him again. This was a number I would call everyday and get an answer or call back right away. Never ever do business with these people. It’s a scam!
