Consumer Complaint: XXXX , from Prince Parker & Associates called my wife asking for payment in full for an XXXX bill of {$1600.00} incurred during the birth of my son on XXXX / XXXX / 2017 . My wife asked XXXX if we could enter into a payment arrangement, to which XXXX responded she could only offer 3 options ; 1, pay in full ; 2, pay half now and small monthly payments after ; 3, not pay and be referred for further collections which include litigation, credit reporting and additional repercussions.
My wife was clearly distraught given this information to which she asked me ( her husband ) to call XXXX and discuss the account. I called XXXX @ ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ext. XXXX to ask what had transpired with my wife and to ask clarifying questions. XXXX reiterat ed the payment options, emphasized that she was from ” Prince, Parker & Associates ”, aske d for my wifes phone number and disclosed information about the debt prior to asking me who I was and prior to reading me the mini-miranda disclosure. When I asked XXXX what she meant by being referred for further collections meant, she fumbled through her response and ended saying that the account would ” leave the attorney ‘s office ” and ” be referred for additional collections with different payment options and credit implications ”, at which point I asked her she was giving me false, misleading and threatening information – XXXX hung up the phone.
