Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX ,2017 I called the customer line of XXXX XXXX to pay-off my balance ( {$160.00} ) and close the account. The payment went through and I then proceeded to close out my account that had a {$0.00} balance.
I later received a bill with a late fee and charges after the balance was {$0.00}.
I called XXXX XXXX and they said I had accumulated a late fee 2 days prior to me calling in. At no time did the representative tell me there may be additional charges on a {$0.00} balance.
My appeal is based on inaccurate information given over the phone by the XXXX XXXX representative. If I ca n’t call in to get accurate information on my account then who do you call? If you listen to the taped conversation you will hear there is no reference to addtional charges in the future …
Thank you for your help … . .
