Consumer Complaint: The debt they are trying to collect has been paid for over a year. It is {$100.00} in elementary school lunch fees my child incurred. The debt was paid to the school at the end of the year. This collector calls every single day trying to collect a laughable {$100.00}. Not to mention, there isn’t a person on the other line – they simply provide an automated message telling the CONSUMER to CALL the collector. If they want to handle the debt, they need to have a person on the line when you answer, not a computer. There is no way I’m going to take the time to call them back, sit on hold to tell them the erroneous debt has been paid for close to a year.
